I want to be a professor in Pol. Theory and Philosophy. How do I go about doing that?
Tuesday, January 5th, 2010I know I have to get my Phd. I am currently a student getting my B.A. My goal is to become a Prof. in Political Theory and Philosophy as well. How do I go about doing this? I have a major in Philosophy, a minor in Pol Sci, a minor in Great Ideas and an emphases in English right now.
What would be a good dual-major for philosophy?

Has anyone studied Philosophy and Physics at university or simply have a brief knowledge of how they collide?
Wednesday, November 19th, 2008I am considering a joint honours degree in Philosophy and Physics and would mainly just like some info from someone who may have studied for this degree. What did you like about it? Was it interesting? Do you still study the basics of Philosophy such as value, truth, etc….or is it all directed at the Philosophy of science?
Thanks to anyone who can give me a bit of insight on these two subjects!

Any suggestions for a philosophy senior project?
Sunday, January 15th, 2006I have to declare what my “graduation project” is going to be tommorrow and I can’t think of a topic or physical product. I know I want to do something dealing with philosophy. We have to write an 8-10 page paper, which obviously won’t be a problem with philosophy; however, We also have to have a physical product to go along with it. This must:
-be student generated and should be based on the research paper.
-provide tangible evidence that reflects the “academic learning stretch” experienced by the student.
-be oriented around the performance of a skill, the production of a product, or the study of a profession
-i must also spend at least 15 hours outside of school doing it (I can use job shadowing for 3 of these.)
If anyone has ideas for a philosophy related ‘physical product’ I would greatly appreciate it. Also if you know of any books that would help me out on the paper or product that would be fantastic.
I really appreciate the general topic ideas, but what I’m really having trouble with is a physical product to go along with one.
