Mel ^_^ asked: I kind of am wondering this to understand different sides of Buddhism not just the one that is related to religion.
Please tell me the benefits of the Buddhism faith along with the philosophy then list the cons of Buddhism as a faith as well as a philosophy.
Then list you personal feelings on both negative and positive.
Please if you feel a link you have read for information would make your opinion more clear then list a few links you feel are worthy and understandable in explaining what you are trying to say.
Thank you, Mel.

Godless Ability To Reason asked:
It seems everyone is concerned with being popular and fitting in, and doesn’t care about topics such as religion and philosophy, are there any intellectuals? I’m going to be a freshmen in August.

askyourmind asked:
I was brought up in a very strong Christian environment. Unlike my brothers and sisters I was never able to embrace Christianity so I began looking for alternative explanations for our genesis and why the world is how it is. I looked to science and evolution, eastern philosophy, and my own observations of human interaction and from this wealth of human knowledge was able to discern one incontrovertible truth which remains constant in all science, philosophy and religion. Can you tell me what it is?

hkwonn asked:
Considering that there is some non-scientific superstition and even some karma/dharma afterlife talk involved in Buddhism/Taoism I’ll consider them religions. Confucianism is more a philosophy. Does China get more roots from it’s philosophy or religions? I’d argue it gets more from its Confucian roots. Buddhism/Taoism came later.

The Bitter Truth asked: This comes from seeing the numerous “Atheism is a religion” questions and the new “What is the religion ‘Nihilism’” question that I just read. Understand: religions are usually based off of a certain philosophy, but philosophies are not religions in and of themselves.
F*ck it, I’m going to start the Church of Existentialism so I can get a tax break.

Smart One asked:
Should Christians study it, even though a lot of philosophy is atheistic? What does the Bible say about it?

Blessed Cheesemaker (cancelled) asked: At its heart Christianity is about the destruction of all those who don’t accept God, irregardless of the type of person they were, and paradise for all those who accept God, irregardless of the type of person they were.
If you accept jesus on your deathbed, you get a mansion, forgetting all the lives you might have destroyed as you lived you own.
So should Christianity really be classified as a moral religion or an immoral philosophy.
