when asked to write a short paper about my philosophy I drew a blank and didn’t write it. I am a logical person who spends most of my time trying to survive and live the best life possible. I understand the philosophies of the great ones, but I don’t know what my philosophy is. Maybe I don’t have one.

Well Pacifist, my goals are quite simple, well, to put into words at least. To find truth, and eventually spread it, would be the utmost dignifying thing for me to do in my opinion, & that’s all i want, is dignity, that’s my inspiration, and as i mentioned before, spreading truth is my desire.

Im generally looking for a book(s) that merely introduce(s) philosophy to me. I know of many philosophers in history, but I just havent had the pleasure of reading their works. Any suggestions???

If you accept jesus on your deathbed, you get a mansion, forgetting all the lives you might have destroyed as you lived you own.

So should Christianity really be classified as a moral religion or an immoral philosophy.

Is a dual Major with History and Philosophy of Science worth it?

I am considering combining a B.A. in the History and Philosophy of Science with either biology or anthropology. Where can this take me? I want to combine a science with a humanity and the coursework looks fascinating, but I’m afraid that this degree will be useless if I decide not to continue my education. I just don’t have enough information to make a decision, and its not a common degree so I’m having trouble finding career paths stemming from it. Any suggestions? Thanks.

How does philosophy benefit from logic?

all men are mortal
Socrates is a man
therefore Socrates is mortal
it’s not telling us anything we didn’t already know, so how is it significant?
