First and foremost, I am a philosopher and I want to philosophize for the remainder of my life, but I feel that the military can be very useful in nurturing discipline of mind and body, developing leadership qualities, and gaining world experience. What can I do that will fit with my interest in philosophy?
I’m not saying that the military can help me with philosophy. I’m asking where in the military will my abstract/analytic thinking be useful?

I think I’m burnt our from philosophy. This has caused me to feel a bit depressed for some reason. I feel as if I have nothing better to do. I miss it but at the same time I can’t bring my self to read because I’m so bored with it. What should I do? Advice? Please only answer if you are actually a philosopher and have experienced this problem.
